Taken out of today's paper. These men are just a small part of the CFA (country fire authority). The CFA does have employees, but so many are just normal everyday people who volunteer to put their lives on hold and at risk to protect their community. Here are four of them. Hero and thank you are...
Listening to the ABC this morning, they were broadcasting a message to the members of general public, that have been ringing to enquire about whether or not the cafes in Healesville are open for business. People are still wanting a day out either sightseeing or for window shopping.
I think the...

I know I have cross posted this request for donations on another thread and forum, but it is a worthy cause.
The Vet Practice Bushfire Relief Effort is calling for donations. They have been providing FREE veterinary treatment for injured...
I know most of the Aussies on here will have dug deep into their pockets either with the Red Cross or the VCA fund raisers, but I would like to add another cause to the list.
I have just been watching a story on the vets that are providing free veterinary care for pets (and wildlife) injured in...
Linda, I am just so pleased to see you back online safe and well. I sensed how frigthened you were on Saturday night, which is why I stayed on line until you left for safety. I can't even begin to imagine what you have gone through. The last few days have just been beyond belief.

Keep safe Gail and the Two Peter's.
I am listening to 774 and it is not sounding good up Linda's way. They were having problems with their water supply, thankfully that has been fixed, but they are under ember attack in streets surrounding her home.
Listening the radio, I have just heard that someone broke into a Geelong CFA unit on Saturday night and stole items. What is wrong with some people

Hope all those that live in at...

I did a postal proceedure session several years back, as part of my job. I would imagine that the technology used in Australia would apply to the UK.
Letters go through some sort of scanning system. The computer can dectect most types of handwritting. What it is looking for is lower case on...
