Howie gets raw chicken wings and drumsticks, turkey wing pieces, lamb flaps (ribs) and neck and beef ribs. Many Australian dogs are fed kangaroo but my dogs don't like it. My source of fresh rabbit has dried up. :(
He is also fed Artemis kibble.
At least one major outbreak of salmonella in...

So very little socialisation, no vet check and a question mark on papers?
Hard as it would be to do, I'd be asking for my money back and trying elsewhere.
I think you mean Windyle Artisan? Howard got Intermediate Dog under Mrs Newton and in one Hound Club show. Mrs Newton ran both the Intermediate Class winners more than once before awarding Intermediate of Breed to the lovely bitch Dachlah Skylark.
I'm Howie's owner. :teehee:
It was a great...

Are you suggesting that the results I posted were wrong?
Clearly I have transgressed an unwritten rule that if you aren't at a show you shouldn't post results.
I won't make that mistake again. :(
Sydney Royal results to hand:
Ch Taejaan Bird On A Wire BOB,
Ch Whipcat Twinkel Little Star For Parnew (Imp Gmy) RUBOB
Dog CC Ch Byerley Longines
Congratulations to the winners! I don't have RCC Dog yet.
Apart from Howard my Whippet you mean? :teehee:
Here in Oz we have Blackdog Whippet Collars and Whippetwear Coats. I used a Blackdog Italian Greyhound collar as a puppy collar for Howie.
Both are great. Mind you I have collars for Howard from the UK and a coat on the way! ;)
Not on it's own though.
The question has been answered - offer him nothing else and if he's hungry enough he'll eat it.
However you could offer a little more variety too.
Based on statistics I've seen, your odds of producing a non-shedding coat are less than 30%. The odds of producing coats worse than a poodles to maintain are better. At least some of the pups are likely to be wire coated, high shedders.
You simply cannot predict with any certainty what...
I'd be wary about trying to put weight on a growing pup. Some rib and a couple of vertebrae visible sounds pretty normal to me for a Whippet. My vet says up to three visible vertebrae is fine on one.
That said, it was suggested by some hound folk to add some whey powder to my 18 month old...
We can't get Orijen in Australia anymore - huge issues with cats becoming very ill and dying after eating it after irradiation (which it had to have done to pass our quarantine). Orijen withdrew all products from Australia.
Do you get Artemis in the UK? Quite a few Whippet folk here feed...
Small problem - we're not dogs and dogs know it. :teehee:
I think Cesar is very good at what he does. He's stood between a lot of dogs and the needle and saved many.
What worries me is when people try to apply the style he reserves for dealing with dogs with quite severe issues to their own...
Mostly raw meaty bones with some Artemis Power. I feed the odd meal of gravy beef or lamb if I want to put some weight on him.
Howard has turkey wing pieces for dinner tonight. :)
No snow here. It will be 37 degrees celcius (98 farenheit) here today and a day of total fire bans. Rain forecast for tomorrow which we desparately need.
Howard is singing"Merry Christmas from Australia" to you all. That brown stuff he's lying on is my back "lawn". :(
I hope all those...
I have a Whippet and 3 poodles including a Toy.
If obedience is your focus, a poodle would be a more obvious choice. This doesn't mean Whippets aren't trainable but they are more easily distracted. If you are first time dog owner or novice obedience person, I think you'd find a poodle an...
Like Elmaro says, it depends on the club but sending out numbers beforehand is pretty unusual. Sometimes you get a receipt.
Easiest way to know for sure would be to ring the trial secretary.
Don't forget that unlike a dog show you actually have to check in at a given time, have your name...
