UPDATES
Anyway I gave my family member a 'bell', just before I went out the door to the Vets. It's has turned out that Fern HASN'T been spayed after all (sometimes doesn't know whether he's is coming or going, bless him!). Fern had been allowed to foul in the house sometimes, because some...
Aww thank you! Fern came from a distance family member of mine, who's gets into a habit on taking in a bit too many all breeds of dogs from all walks of life (mainly his wife). Half of my family and his friends had taken on some of his dogs over the years. Fern stood out.
I will give him a...
MY UPDATES
There's been a astonishing U-turn on the matter, Fern hasn't messed up the front room at all so far! I am so pleased, it's thrilling. If this continues till tomorrow, then maybe I've either solved the matter or I am getting there.
Thank fully my relationship with Fern is still...
I have just realise what sort of a role model am I being! Giving my dog a light smack, I won't do it again otherwise my children will think it's OK. I have just had a word with my children and told them "Mummy made a mistake". I am only human.
I got the dog because they benefits...
TO ABOVE: Thank you, I will be thinking about giving raw food, but I have a sack of expensive complete food to get through first! And once the toileting problem is well truely settled and the complete food is gone, then I will consider it.
TO ABOVE: Aww thank you! Nice to meet you, I was thinking the opposite too!
Thanks for all your advice, keep any more suggestions coming. I will clean the areas with non-bio washing powder (like now!) I have been cleaning the areas with a bowl of warm water with a drop of...
Thanks, that's good to hear. I take heed on your advice.
I think it's because Fern has been brought up in a house hold full of dogs, she now come into a dogless house hold (my home) and thinking "Wow! this house is all mine I shall make it my territory!" now she got her confidence back.
What...
OK I apologise for smacking her, but I didn't do it hard, I haven't the heart too. She is spayed and I have changed her to another better brand of complete food, no trouble with it. No upset tums even got less stools.
I have shown her gently lots of times the way outside like you've suggested...
I have had 13 mth old Fern for a week now, no problems at all. I thought she had settled in really well considering she came from a small house with 10 other dogs. Now this week, Fern has suddenly started toileting in the front room (thankfully we haven't any carpets!). Why on earth is this...
It sounds like instead of using dried complete food, we all might as well invite our dogs round for dinner at our own table! Because I've noticed the further you go ingredient wise with the complete food the more similar it is to our own food!
to above: your dogs look so healthy! I love 'Owen'

I've just found an adult version with fish oil in it. WHAT DO YOU THINK? I must have missed it, I bet it's the most expensive of the lot. Although I wanted to steer away from chicken because I was sure it was giving Fern the farts. Chicken makes me fart!
All your suggestions has certainly been very interesting. I had a whale of a hard time on the Internet searching for Fern's food. I know from my Whippet book by Ann Vickerstaff that whippets don't digest potato very well.
The reason I choose Nutro is because it's got no potato and chemicals...
I have recently become a proud owner to a 13mth bitch called Fern.
When she came into my care, I've noticed she was pooh-ing a awful lot about 4-5 times per day and was a bit farty! She was fed on 'Autarky' dried complete, it's chicken, so I have changed her to 'Nutro puppies dried complete...
