4 weeks ago I sent Gilligwigs 4 of my books including Sam Goes to Tea with Lily and Alfie plus a kind order she made of some bookmarks in aid of the JR Whippet Rescue. They went in a good sized bubble wrap envelope first class. They still haven't arrived!
Frustrating as they were the last of my...
Just in case anyone has missed me, we have had PC trouble over recent days - hence my absence! But in the words of the immortal PJ Proby - I'm Back!
Hope everyone is good and enjoying the run (or totter!) up to Christmas!

We watched a programme on Sky last night about getting your first puppy. The guy showed a Cavapoodle/Cavaloodle??? I assume a Cavalier/Poodle cross? It was adorable, with a fluffy, wavy coat plus golden/cream colour. Grew to the size of a Cavalier. Beauty and brains I suspect, as I know Poodles...
We recently changed our printer from Lexmark to HP consequently I have 2 ink cartridges left - 1 colour 1 black, both approx half full. If anyone has a Lexmark all in one printer and would like to have these for a £5 donation to Scruples, let me know. I can't charity shop them, and they are too...
New grand daughter is now 8 weeks old and doing fab! Here is Ava with my middle son James taken 2 weeks ago. Preparing for another visit today so....very happy! :huggles:

Most of you who know Carol, know that she has been quite poorly during the past year, but is recovering well now.
Today is her birthday, so we wish her Many Happy Returns of today! :huggles:
She is currently nursing a nasty cold/cough, so not receiving visitors (very thoughtful!)...
My printer has finally done the first batch of Sam the Patchwork Whippet books for me. "Sam Goes to Tea with Lily and Alfie" is the story of a time when Sam went to tea with two new friends - a blue whippet named Alfie and his half-sister Lily, an elderly but elegant collie.
The first of 7...
We're really enjoying the nightly shows on I'm a Celeb. How about you folk? Do you think Nadine deserved to stay or go tonight??
I'm rooting for Limahl (`cos I'm from Leighton Buzzard too!), Charlie and Ashleigh `cos they seem really nice people and quite brave!
Can you believe Celebrity has...
Don't forget, if you have a favourite photo of your hound/s email it to me and I'll run off 4 for £1.50 including PP. All money for either JR Whippet Rescue or Scruples. You can either donate yourself thru PayPal or donate thru me... annetteshowler@yahoo.com
After a good start things have...
We have noticed when ever we feed Jacques tit-bits or biscuit with added colouring, he never makes it thru the night. Even chewy sticks - anything that has been added to makes him loose and `needy`! Has anyone else noticed this?

Whilst playing around with my Pictures folder today, it occurred to me that some whippet folk might like a few bookmarks done, for their personal use.
I don't mind investing in the card/laminating etc but the ink is costly, which is why I'm asking £1 for a set of 4 bookmarks, plus 50p to cover...

I am working with a website that offers free downloads on bookmarks and with the member's permission have used this lovely snap. I will need to adjust the clarity of the photo but this is to give you some idea of what can be done!
Best wishes

We came across the Birmingham Championship Show last night (on Sky). Was this a recent event? The Swedish whippet dog looked very handsome and went Best Hound. Did anyone go and have any luck?

3-4 winters ago K9 members posted some super pics of their dogs enjoying the snowy weather. Almost everyone had something nice to share. I asked at the time if I could copy and paste a couple to use as Christmas cards and the member was happy to say yes.
I have lost these photos and wondered if...
I took Jacques out today for his first short walk, after our 3 weeks enforced house/garden exercise. He has been super in learning obedience, doing, sit, paw, lie-down, wait, and now speak but out of the garden he seems no better.
He didn't pull as much as before, but did bark at some children...
As most of you know, we lost our beloved Sam in July to Lymphoma at the age of twelve and a half. He had been a Rescue dog and we had known and loved him since the age of 7 months.
The autoimmune condition struck aged 15 months, and from then on it was a daily battle to keep him and his body in...
