    Hello,I am new

You should definitely still be able to get a dog - I know that when my mum lived in a flat with no garden the greyhound trust were fine about it - I think it's wrong to completely rule out anyone without a garden who can give a dog a great home. Good luck!

    My Dog won’t want a Brother :-(

I guess you need to weigh up the pros and cons. Does your desire for another dog really outweigh the potential for 2 unhappy dogs (and owner) and potential aggression... Or think about getting a female, preferably docile natured breed, and introduce them to see if they get along

    Separation anxiety

Good points, thanks for the insight, yes I also felt it was pretty rushed and it's so food and owner focussed with not much emphasis on being calm. Definitely takes a lot more time and patience than implied in the video

    Separation anxiety

Hi everyone. I found this video on using reinforcement to cure separation anxiety and just wondered what people's thoughts were, whether you've tried this method before? It seems like it would be a long and very slow process but I can see how it could work if you had the time

    Dogs on leads over farmland

That sign is awful, could be put a bit more tactfully...I completely understand farmers getting irritated though. Better to be safe than sorry!

    Anyone had there Vaccine yet?

Had mine and all went fine. It's completely safe. Everyone should get it so we can get things back to normal!

Spring! Walks are getting better and better.

They're the best. Walking the dogs in the sun this morning was wonderful ☀️

Owning a dog when working fulltime?

My parents both used to work full time and I remember my dad built a dog flap into the back door so the dogs always had access to outside. When I worked nights a few years ago my dog would just sleep then I'd take them out as soon as I got back and have a neighbour keep an ear out. But...

Need advice re new rescue dog & resident dog

I was in the same situation with an older dog and a newer smaller one, both rescues, it started with stalking then she became openly aggressive towards the older dog and they had to be separated, some dogs just aren't meant to be together!

    Wild Garlic.

Wild garlic is one of my favourite things about spring walks, I've never used it in my cooking, I will give it a go this year...

Is there anything your pet is scared of or reacts to?

Every dog I've ever had has hated bath time. They go really rigid and peculiar. Yet they would be happy running in the sea and in rivers. Dogs are irrational!!

    Kill Shelters...do they really exist!!!

It's a really tricky issue. I volunteer at a shelter and they'd never have a healthy dog put down, but there is one dog who is aggressive with other dogs and is a danger to people in confined spaces. He will likely spend his life in the stressful kennel environment, which is hardly a life.

    Dog sleeping arrangements

Yes to small dogs, if they want to, but no to big ones - sharing the bed with a greyhound is most uncomfortable!!

    Love walking

I love walking, lucky to live in Yorkshire and enjoy walking in the North York Moors, beautiful scenery! (and extremely muddy this time of year)
