Hi all just wanted to give quick Connie post spay update. Well we had our 5 day check up and all was great. Advice was to continue with lead only exercise for a little while longer and to keep an eye on wound healing. the vet nurse was pleased with Connie especially with how she bounced in and...
Hi all - a quick update re spay we returned to the vets and the pregnancy symptoms were almost gone but she was still producing clear liquid from teats so the op was cancelled however we reappointed for last week and she was good to go. I was beside myself saying bye bye and despite my having...
Hi there thanks for this
Thinking that the decrease in food and once we Devin exercise is doing the job here teats are definitely less prominent and she is seemingly more herself. No clinging into toys so no issues with nesting. Will see at the next vet visit next week. fingers crossed
Thanks excuse me - I’m definitely staying away from her teats. The other advice from the vet was to reduce her cleaning herself as she will make her vulva sore. Bless her
Hi Hemlock that is great advice thank you. You’ve fair I was more panicked that she might actually be pregnant but happy to let her hormones sort themselves naturally. Thanks.
Hi all I was at the vets earlier with Connie for her first year booster and vaccination against KC plus a quick check over as think Connie is back in season. She is due to be spayed in just less thank 2 weeks and I was panicking that she was in an early season
It turns out she is experiencing a...
I would perhaps add some kibble to the rice and chicken ( and peas? )the chicken or rice water will soften the kibble and add to taste?
When my pup had a poorly tummy I was advised to add the rice/stock water to the food and it worked u then gradually added some kibble and eventually reversed...
I was going to suggest the same game as Judy as this worked for our pup although she was not becoming aggressive just uncertain.
treats each time she moves toward and lots of praise - I stepped back so she wanted them move with me to play. good luck with Remi
Thanks Judy
The vet has called now and doesn’t seem too concerned as Connie is happy otherwise, but has asked me to keep an eye on it and bring her in for examination of anything changes.
Bless you - such a worry. I would try a bland menu for a few days rice with chicken and peas works for my pup. I was advised to add some of the rice water too.
I usually pop few carrots in whilst boiled too as she likes carrots. This worked to settle my pups tummy and then gradually added some...
Ooogh ok - I wonder how she got that? Also what do you think the treatment is. She hasn’t noticed it I don’t think and happy in herself.
thank you for response
Hi all just wondering if you can advise. connie is coming to end of first season.
There is a small lump next to her nipple. What might it be? Hoping just An ingrowing hair and nothing more sinister.
Have emailed a pic to the vet but thought I’d check with you guys too as it’s the weekend and...
Hi all
Just wanted to thank you all for speedy support - was a very anxious gal when Connie was vomiting but this has now eased and she despite her hormones ahoy she seems more herself and drinking normally and eating much more than a couple of days ago.
