my female whippet Zoe broke her front leg couple years ago
it was pinned by the vet, but she has been left with her paw at an angle and she had a slight limp
but the limp seems to be getting more pronounced.
shes active enough, and is'nt over exercised on the leg either
she was on...
i would like to have a dog run type enclosure to be able to put the whippets in there to keep them safe when needs be
would like it to be wooden and not metal, and put a kennel in it as well
would only be for occasional use, a safe place to put dogs when needed out of the way.
any...
jake is coming on great, thanks to a raw diet
was at the vets today to get 2nd vacc, and we weighed him.
he was 13kg (w00t) 2 weeks ago he was 10.5kg
so a great weight gain in a fortnight.
have reduced his food slightly, so he can put the rest of the weight he needs to put...
The whippet I took out of the pound can pull abit on the lead.
Because he had a bit of a cough going on, the pulling on the lead can make it worse
was thinking of a halti or gentle leader, can these be used on a whippet? and are they secure enough that they can wriggle out of it?
thanks Eve
I didnt even think to give him a half dose, or even 3/4 of it
hes still in fine form, and has a very good appetite.
he has a wee raspy hack now and again with some retching
hopefully that will go in the next day or so.
will mention to the vet when hes back for 2nd vacc in 2...
thanks for the info regarding the advocate.
well Jake weighs 10.5 kilos, and the dose the vet gave me was for 10-25kilos
so it may be he has had an overdose of it
he has only had the odd raspy noise this morning and no retching.
and hes eating well, and out in the garden enjoying the sun and...
the wee whippet i brought home from the pound yesterday has developed kennel cough (we think)
its like hes trying to throw up, but nothing comes out after he finishes retching.
there is a bit of a cough.
hes eating and drinking ok, but hes sleeping beside my other dogs who havent been vacc'd...
the lurcher girl i took in is coming over to the UK to a greyhound rescue on Sunday.
They have some exellent home offers lined up for her.
She needs a home with more space than we can give her here.
She will be missed alot here.
Her pups have turned out well, I see 4 out of the 9, and get...
well the vet thinks hes about 4-6yrs old, but hes very active, inquisitive, and nosey lol
he knows how to sit, he doesnt pull on a lead, and knows what kind of food he likes.
the vet reckons he has a mild form of mange, not the contagious one tho, its been brought on by stress of probably...

Holly (lurcher x collie) was brought into a NI pound in December heavily pregnant
She was put into foster and had 9 pups.
They were all due to go to Dogs Trust in the UK via a rescue transporting them over.
Unfortunately Dogs Trust can no longer take mum and pups
and they are now back in the...
My lurcher that Im rehoming has a rescue offer in the Chesire area.
I had an offer of transport at the end of March
The person turned out to be a timewaster
Am wondering how much it would be to send her to UK?
