I was out yesterday evening with my dog and found a whippet. I couldnt see anyone else out on the hill. I'm just outside Belfast. I had her in the yard but I'm heading away for a bit so I've had no choice but to hand the dog in to the Belfast dog pound. They keep it for 7 days after that its up...
That’s a ridiculously low price for an original. David French had a long career painting dogs and horses but I believe he no longer paints greyhounds as he retired to work on other subjects.

Billy - Now that the bright nights are coming back the gigs will be out round here. I spent ages trying to photograph them in the past but was never in the right place. I eventually asked a man that lived at the top of my lane about taking some shots and he washed...
This painting started out on Friday night as a standard head study but with guilty expression and the collar I started to think that the dog looked a bit like an accused man standing in the dock. The late great Mick Cawston was the master at painting animals as humans – I’m pleased with the...

Hope you like it

I’ll be in Kilkeel Leisure centre tonight at 7.30 doing a painting demonstration for the local art club. Here is a tonal sketch of the demo painting. Call in and say hello if anyone is in the area.

Thanks for the comments, Billy there’s nothing wrong with the trousers - Trinny and Susanna would have their work cut out with me as well. Glad you liked the painting and recognised the dogs before I put up the photo.
Hope to see you all up at the Antrim show.
