Just moved into this area, and was wondering if there are any whippet owners around here who could show me some good walks etc. It seems to me that there are a lot of walks, but all are open spaces near roads (well the ones I can find).
Kind regards to all
Andrea
Thanks for that help k4tie, I've just been on the phone to our local council, and it seems the angry pitbull wielding bloke was in the wrong, my dogs were well within the law, ok they were running, but they have excellent recall, and the council man I spoke to said this is totally fine, it's if...
Does anyone know the laws concerning dogs on and off the lead in local council owned parks?
I had the girls out for a run a couple of days ago at our Taylor park, our local council owned park. There was me and 1 other family with a puppy staffy x type, that the girls were playing with, running...
I've been going down to Devon on frequent trips to visit my boyfriend down there.
Next step is introducing kids and woopits to him, but I have a major problem.
While Tascha loves the car, Teegan isn't so bad in the car, Totty really really hates it, gets herself worked up and pukes everywhere...
Totty and Teegan are Taschas pups, they are 5 months old, and are the apple of my eye, along with their mum lol.
Tascha had 6 pups, 2 boys and 4 girls, all the other pups have gone to really good homes now, and are all settled and happy with their new mums and dads.
Totty
A very happy Erica...
Well time for an update, after spending all day yesterday postering the area, including car repair shops, pubs, taxi ranks, shops etc, I finally got a phone call tonight from someone in a nursing home, who had spotted Totty and brought her in.
TOTTY IS HOME SAFE AND SOUND...
Still no news, and another sleepless night has gone by.
Flyers have been put up in the surrounding park area, we're going to spred them around to the local vets, shops and taxi ranks through prescot today.
If anyone would like to print a poster off, there are posters available on doglost.co.uk...
We were all out for a walk in a park in Prescot yesterday, all 3 girls went out of my sight for 2 mins, as they had run behind a hedge, which bordered near the metal railing fence. As they are only pups, they must have managed to squeeze through. Tascha and Teegan came back when called, but...
Thanks for all the kind words. Still no news of Totty. Have phoned all the local police stations, as apparently they don't have a national register, it just goes in the log book at the front of each particular station.
Also all the dogs homes, rescue centres, petlog, lostdog.co.uk, rspca and...
No news at all, just got back from searching for her again, and no one has even had a sighting of her.
I've phoned all the places I can think of, but no luck there either.
Our little girl Totty has gone missing today, at about 2.30pm in Prescot. Not sure if she's been lifted by someone, but I'm suspecting this to be the case.
If anyone hears anything of her, please please could you let me know. I'm going spare, have informed police and petlog etc. Here's a pic...
The only experience I've had with Yorkies has always been with my next door neighbours, I seem to have the unfortunate knack of finding them with yappy snappy yorkies.
Maybe it's just the way they have been raised/trained, but I would never in a million years want to own or be housed next door...
I noticed the dog with the arm too, sort of scary lol.
I'm glad you had a nice time George, I lived in Belfast for 10 years, and loved it to bits. They're such friendly people over there, that I ended up married to one hehe. Brought him back here with me too.
