Thanx everyone,
I hope they do keep night-time visitors at bay cos we've got no alarm (since Talisker chewed through one of the cables a few months ago, setting the whole thing off at about 3am!)
I've seen the piic of Otto that you posted last year Mike, he's a fantastic looking dog!
The pic...
Hi Sheena,
thanx for all the advice - am a wee bit scared, think u must be some sort of mind reader! All of the above is a pretty accurate summary of what's been going on. I do try to remeber what a tough time Fergal has had over the past year - his whole comfy wee world really has kinda...
It is quite tough to work it out, i think they both think they're in charge at the minute! Talisker has gradually been trying to assert his authority but Fergal hasn't completed relinquished it and still asserts himself at times although he has been much more submissive since Sunday - he tends...
Thanx for your thoughts on the problem - things have been fairly quiet since Fergal got home y'day, the weather probably is part of the problem, Talisker is not coping well with the heat and spends most of his day lying on the slate floor in the kitchen at the minute.
it doesn't help that...
Hi there everyone, haven't been around for a while - been v busy moving house bringing up a puppy being pregnant and getting used to being a mummy!
Not sure if anyone will remember the initial pics of Talisker from this time last year as a gorgeous 6wk deerhound puppy, but he's now an even more...
I would love to bring the puppy, just not sure what stage it's ok to bring him out as he won't have had all of his vaccinations - he'll only be about 10wks by moira!
Had a really good day at b'walter, wish i'd been able to go sunday too, don't think i'll be able to make it to many of the other shows this summer - will be busy toilet training etc!!!
Congrats on your wins at b'walter miss madam,
I did meet someone from k9, but i was so taken aback/weirded...
Believe me, that's not a happy face - and it's about as happy as he gets in the bath. The secret is a VERY small bathroom, he knows there is no escape route and he just has to put up and shut up - the better he behaves, the quicker it's over and then he can gallop round the house like a nutter...
oh by the way, the showing was pretty much the same, i get the feeling that we would have been unplaced but there were only 3 dogs in our group so we got a nice big shiny yellow rosette which i'm extremely proud of (who needs to know there were only 3? :- " )
Don't worry too much about being inexperienced, you may have read about our embarrassing experience at Ballywalter earlier in this thread- it's all just for fun really. I was worried that there would be lots of serious owners who would be annoyed if we didn't know what we were doing but nobody...
