We now have confirmation that we are able to hold our Clicker Training day at the Dogs Trust Centre
It will be open to all Whippets, Italian Greyhounds and related breeds, whether you have done any training with them or not.
It's amazing how quickly your dog can learn with the clicker, from...
We are planning to hold a Clicker training day, hopefully on Saturday 19th May, and probably at the Dogs Trust centre at Harefield, nr Uxbridge, Middx (just waiting to hear on availability so will update ASAP)

So sorry that you have lost your lovely girl in such distressing circumstances :(
It sounds like she was lucky to find such a loving home for 5 years, and couldn't have been loved any more than she was by you.
Thinking of you.
Liz and the Monellis
Gosh, haven't they changed a lot in just a week!
Gorgeous babies- I just love the girl who looks like her mum- she is just beautiful, and the fawn boy is looking lovely too
Liz and the Monellis
I cannot see any possible justification for breeding from a bitch on consecutive seasons, or for a bitch to have 6 litters- THAT is puppy farming in my book :o
And what happens to the poor bitch when she is too old to be bred from? Passed on like an unwanted piece of furniture, advertised on...
I hardly post on here now, but just happened to spot this topic.
I am so sorry you have lost lovely Bean- he was a beautiful and much treasured boy who I am sure will leave a big gap :(
Thinking of you and Alan. Run free Bean.
Liz, Alfie and the Monellis x
I've got a feeling one of your boys might end up a blue fawn- he has some fawn shading on his head and body- will be interesting to see what colour he turns out :))
They look lovely strong pups- what were their weights at birth?
Liz and the Monellis
Just had a look online, and it's called HEMATURIA - there are lots of articles about exercise- induced hematuria in humans, and a few about dogs.
Hope this helps- like I said, I might be wrong but I was sure I had heard of it before.
Liz and the Monellis
I may be completely wrong, but I am sure I have heard of this before from a friend who used to have racing Greyhounds.
I seem to remember that it happens in horses and Greyhounds when they have run themselves to exhaustion- it's called azoturia or something?
May be mistaken, but off to look it...
Looking forward to Sunday!
Are there any more address details than just the postcode, or will it be obvious where we are going when we get there?
Liz and the Monellis
Those pics are absolutely fantastic! :D
Thanks for posting them- loved the Afghan and the terrier ones especially, and the ones of my Italian Greyhound Norman are just classic- shows that IGs can do more than just trotting round a show ring! 8)
Liz and the Monellis
And Norman enjoyed racing with them too, even though he had to wear the Whippet's muzzle which was too big and covered his eyes! He still tried his best though!
I think he would have run again and again if he'd had the chance- not bad for an 11 year old and not even a trace of stiffness today...
