I have also posted this in the general discussion whippets forum but probably should have put it here first.

PARTIALLY BLIND AND DEAF RESCUE PUPPY SEEKS FOSTER HOME
Dogs Trust Darlington’s urgent plea

Hello again,
So I took her for a second opinion this morning,(I brought in a curler and told them what I've read from your experience). They are going to try to save the tail. First they are going to shave it, then clean the wound to access how much damage was done to the blood vessels and see...
My female whippet broke her tail today about six inches from the tip. The vet has said to amputate the tip but I have read online that it can be splinted. Does anyone have any experience or advice with broken tails? I really don't want her to get it amputated. I will try to post some photos...
It's the waiting time now and I keep thinking I'm going to call the vet and tell him not to come but the rational part of me knows that would be selfish. I just keep looking at her sweet face, knowing how much she trusts me and can't believe I am actually going to do this to her. 14.5 years just...
Thank you so much everyone who has said such kind words. I really appreciate it. I feel so much guilt and sadness but I also feel that there is no other option anymore and at least she can go out with some dignity. This has been, without a doubt the hardest decision I have ever had to make...

When she was 9 years old she nearly...

So sorry to hear such sad news but his memory will live on in his offspring. I am lucky enough to have one of his very handsome sons, Bluestreak Billy Liar (Angus).
RIP :(

1. inflation which...
with 3,043 whippets registered last year.

And as much as I love whippets...I'm not so sure whether this is a good thing or not.
