    Grass rash

According to my vet this rash is caused by harvest mites. I was given Frontline to clear it up (prior to a spaying operation). Lots of dogs round here have it but it doesn't seem to bother them, and clears up when harvest time is over.

    Milo Nipped The Postman

You have my sympathy! My whippet, Josh, had a scare  from a postman in the past and goes mad now when they come. The paper boy (about 80!) is included in his wrath and was actually bitten, drawing blood. It is likely he went for the papers and missed  and got the hand...

    Cat Proofing The Yard

What an excellent idea from Fallen Angel. Did you know a company in the US sell kits similar to what you described (and charge a fortune for it). I don't have any cats now, but wish I had known of that method when I did.

    Dolly And My Toddler Grandson

Our part whippet, Rudy, was the same as Dolly with under sevens and could not be trusted not to snap at them. If they left her alone, she was fine, but if they ran past or touched her she didn't like it. We found it simpler, and less risky, to keep her away from small children. We had...

    Richee

Absolutely gorgeous little pup - wish I could have him, but it's all I can do to cope with my 9 month old whippet at the moment. Have had him a month only, but he was untrained and he has wrecked the house and garden! He also has an undescended testicle and is booked for castration week...

Does Any Body Has A Galgo ?

Welcome Adelaide! Your dogs look and sound gorgeous. Yes, we have heard of Galgos and it breaks ones heart to read about them. Hopefully the Spaniards will take notice of the disapproval of other western countries and start to clamp down on the cruelty. Trouble is they have to go into...

    Greyhounds

Hi julieleigh, yes - went to a kennels today and saw some very nice animals. They were all very well looked after (Mead Racing Kennels) and have several retired greyhounds to rehome. All I have to do now is build the fence!

    Greyhounds

Hi, this is my first post. I wonder if there are any greyhound lovers amongst you. I am giving very serious consideration to getting one, and have one provisionally picked out. I previously owned a whippet who lived to a ripe old age but I feel sorry so many greyhounds need homes and apart...
