    New puppy

Ah right. Thanks for the heads up on that! How should I check it? Ask about numbers etc? He's quite a confident little chap but I wouldn't want to knock that.

    New puppy

Great! I'm taking Luca to the vets today for his first puppy check. I think they're going to sign me up to a puppy party? Apparently all the new owners are invited for a meet and greet type thing. I'm keen to start training too. I've made a start because I wanted to start as I mean to go on...

    New puppy

Hi Stringy - I too have a new puppy (just 9 weeks old). I'll be interested to follow your journey. I don't have too much experience, although I have owned a dog before it was nothing like the one I have now. He's super-chilled, dry at night and not too many accidents inside, we try to take...

    Puppy stealing shoes!

Good idea! I'll try that! On the positive side...he's dry all night - no accidents. I don't hear a peep out of him all night. He goes in his crate around 10pm, and I wake up anywhere between 5:30 and 7:30am, get him up and put him straight outside in the garden. I'm amazed! I don't think...

    Puppy stealing shoes!

Hi All - any advice on puppy stealing shoes? I don’t really want to enforce a shoe embargo - I’d rather teach him that stealing shoes and chewing them is unacceptable. I’ve tried telling him “no” and he seems to understand? But then he waits until he knows I’m in the Loo and does it anyway...

    Help! Puppy not eating!

Thanks Judy - we’ve had 1 loose bowel movement this evening. Otherwise playful. Enthusiastic for treats. Drinking ok and peeing. I’m wondering if I’ve overdone the treats today which has made his usual food seem a little uninteresting?

    Help! Puppy not eating!

Hi All - I wonder if someone can advise please? Brought my standard poodle puppy home last Sunday and he’s settled in really well. However, tonight he’s off his food and generally “sulky”? Sounds odd I know but he’s just not himself. He’s drinking, will take treats if offered. Should I give him...

Review A great day trip to Bath and pub-crawl with Dennis!

Sounds FANTASTIC! I can't wait until Luca is old enough to do that! I'm not far away from Bath myself so I'll definitely try out those places - thanks for sharing...fantastic forum!

    Hellooooo!

Brief update: we've put his crate in my daughter's bedroom and he settled in there immediately! He's dry all night every night and sleeps from 10pm until 5:30am when I get up with him and give him breakfast. He performs his usual ablutions and then gets back into bed with her until she drags...

    Hellooooo!

Thanks Josie - I'm going to try him in the crate again tonight. I'll get him some cuddly toys to make it cosy. I'll also get some puppy treats to stuff into his chew toy...I tried stuffing it with bits of kibble this morning but they weren't terribly successful. Will also try to tire him out...
