    Treats for sensitive tummies?

I made a liver cake the other day and I've never had Teasel so interested in what i'm doing! She was pretty much all over me whilst I was chopping the liver into pieces, and then again when I was cutting the cake into little pieces... she was also hanging around the oven the whole time it was...

    Treats for sensitive tummies?

That sounds super easy to do actually, thank you for that! I'll try it out. How does it compare to simply cooking/drying the liver and cutting it into pieces? Do your dogs prefer the cakes to whole liver pieces? Or is it just something to change up the routine a bit?

    Treats for sensitive tummies?

That's a good shout... didn't think of that! Guess my brain thought it was more expensive than chicken, but it turns out Tesco sell 800g bags of frozen pork chops for only £2.50! I'll add that to my shopping list immediately. How do you make liver cake and what is a pilchard flapjack? Both...

    Treats for sensitive tummies?

I'm wandering what does everyone use as training treats for dogs with food sensitivities? For our collie x GSD, we have been using pieces of boiled chicken and pre-made treats that are all grain free and "natural". But I'm concerned that chicken is the cause of her itchy skin and digestive...

Someone's worked out how to open doors!!

AHA! I have discovered exactly how she's opening the door!! She's not using the handle at all (which would explain why she hasn't got into the craft room yet). If you hit the door just below the handle, it pops open!! The latch slides back into the door if you push it. How annoying! Looks like a...

Someone's worked out how to open doors!!

There's more in our bedroom than just our bed that i'm concerned about to be honest. When she's unsupervised, who know's what she could get her nose into or teeth around (deodorant, hairdryers, phone chargers, hair spray, our clothes etc). It's not something i'm comfortable with encouraging both...

Someone's worked out how to open doors!!

Ok. New development: I think she's actually bashing the door in rather than using the door knob!!! I placed a heavy chair flat against the knob today before I went out.... came home to find the door open, chair still in place, and very deep claw grooves at the base of the door >.< It looks like...

Someone's worked out how to open doors!!

Hmm, that's an idea. I'll give her a t-shirt today and see if that works. We tried a chair the other day, but she just pushed it to one side. It wasn't a heavy chair though, so I'll see about using one of our big dining chairs as well. But to be honest it's a bit of a hassle to do that...

Someone's worked out how to open doors!!

Hi all. We have a bit of a conundrum now. Teasel's learnt how to turn a doorknob and now she's letting herself into our bedroom and has a whale of a time on our bed!! I know some people are fine with this in their house, but we had a solid rule from day one that she is not allowed on the bed...

    What am I doing wrong?

The blankets we are using in both night and day time beds are ones we gave her before we collected her from the foster. I think it helped with her night time bed more than the day time one. This is what I was thinking to be honest... it's the same with taking her for walks at the moment. We...

    What am I doing wrong?

Everything that we've been told about her points to the opposite to be honest. The fosters said that she likes to sleep under tables and find little nooks to sleep in... which I why I put her "place" in a wall nook. She already tried the table, but got stuck and hasn't been interested in it...

    What am I doing wrong?

No, I don't try and move her like that. I'm trying to lure her with treats. Asking her to come. Throwing treats in the bed or short distances away from her. Leaving her alone then coming back (she'll often follow us if we go elsewhere around the house). Or just waiting until she gets up... All...

    What am I doing wrong?

Hi, We've recently adopted an approx. 16month old collie/shepherd mix. She's great at home and on leash. However, when she wants to go and have a nap she becomes really unresponsive and stubborn. I'm trying to train her to go to her "place" during the day, and her "bed" at night. When she's...
