Thanks Judy,
We do need to work on the impulse control, that was my next step with her training as she loves to try steal food! I do leave the room myself when possible, but as you can imagine when she's biting a 4 year olds leg/cuff it's impossible to make everyone leave the room in a calm...
Hello,
We're struggling with our Pup Molly, she's 19 weeks old currently and displays behaviour that I honestly can't tell if is aggression or play. I was hoping someone may have had similar experience to me and advise on whether or not it sounds like my puppy is showing true aggression or is...
I'd laugh but it bloody hurts haha I must be soft! We have been giving her stuff to destroy like boxes also advice from a trainer but she loses interest very quickly and comes back to bitey. It's only for 30 minutes maybe twice a day and the rest of the time she's settled and she doesn't bite...
So I mentioned in my welcome thread but I'm getting a little concerned. Now my Molly has settled in she's getting more into her play time. She's biting harder, growling and barking a little and getting very excited. Its practically impossible to ignore her as the training suggests. I've been...
Thanks for that Judy, trying to get the kids to stop is just as difficult however Espcially the 1YO :D. Soon as they're in bed the training goes very well, so I'm hoping that will take the greater effect. She's not overly bitey until the kids get her worked up, which they tend to do by accident...
Alsatian/German Shephards.
Only because I spent time around two of these, both had little to no training and both very aggresive. I would constantly harrased if I went round, in an aggresive manner. It all came to a head when I was stood in the front garden talking to the owner and one got let...
Hey I'm in a similar situation, I'm no expert but I'm having luck with going outside after every meal, drink, espcially after a nap and some inbetween. I feel like I'm spending more time outside than in, but hopefully it'll reduce! I also wait a minimum of 10 minutes if she's not done anything...
Thanks DD, she's 8 weeks so a very similar age.
She's fine with me, I think it's just a bit worrying when she's trying to nip the kids - she'll jump up in their face and try to nip. I'm obviously not leaving them together alone and stopping her jumping up when she does, I'm just hoping she...
Our pup often wakes up has a quick drink and lies back down to sleep. I personally would always keep a bowl of water nearby, however I can't say what's best.
Hi everyone
Me and my family became the proud owner of Molly, an 8 week old Staff Spaniel cross this weekend. She's a rescue from the local dogs trust and joins a mad house consisting of me, Missus Beefy, 4 YO son, 18 month old Daughter and 2 cats. She's settling in nicely so far and her...
