Depends on the breeder tbh and what they want to put into their line ..... My 27 ish pound bitch went to a 24lb dog ... None went over sized but produced healthy pups with fab heads and bone .... There are brilliant racing champ bitches out there at 26lbs plus but the pups are booked so far in...

We aren't trying to sound so negative, but it really is a huge responsibility as has been said ...... I've refused people pups of mine in the past, nearly lost my one bitch during whelping and brought one of my pups back, paying to get him back ..... Only bred 4 litters in 18 years of owning...

Thank you all at Cotswolds today clearing our Flo and Wills and having the time to re train Uggs and Alfie with the traps ......Just how club racing should be .....Also thanks to Dexter and Daisy with their assistance with all the young uns today :wub:

Theres loads to consider when breeding a litter ...... What has the dam got to offer as in showing, racing, working qualities? .....There are plenty of "pet" Whippets being bred nowadays and the market seems to be flooded ..... Rescues are over run now not just with staffy types like everyone...

Where abouts do you live? ......It'll be best to find a local club to start your pup off at. At 6 months he'll be able to start learning about racing etc ..... Whats his breeding?

A proper breeder be it pets, show or racing make NO money at all ....... With worming, vet checks, extra worming and feeding of the bitch, pups heating, dew claws, vet check, feeding, toys, bed washing, every 2 hours house training, puppy pack, tattoo's, kc reg not to mention the time put in...

What a shame ...... Remember seeing him as a baby up at the Northern, such a lovely, soft, honest dog and a true and worthy champion ..... RIP Bow xx
