as u may have guessed im looking thru old copies of w/news and kept coming across the 10 u follow and i remembered it, it was laff u picked 10 dogs payed a pound and if u won i think it was something like £30 and bags of red mills as i think they sponsered it. i dont know but i have a feeling porky ran it along with malcolm clarke? i cid b wrong like but anyway i was wondering if anyone knew why it had stopped? and wud it b possible to have something like that again? it used to b fun cheering on a dog in your team etc

I think you will find that Chris Cornish ran it for the whippet news and the prize was a bag of Red mills for the top 5 or ten cant remember but you chose 10 dogs scratch vets heavy and light and each dog scored points on their wins the person with the most points won then the 2nd and so on was good each had to have a team name similiar to the one you ran last year on your site

Hi Carole, I ran the competition which was popular but then seemed to run out of steam, the winner got approx £30 and the others £10, paying out £120, Malcolm Clarke and Red Mills donated bags of dog food for the winners too.....I addded the extra prizemoney, but then it came far too expensive to run with so little entries......you didn't make it clear, are you running this on your site, k9 or W News?

another question 4 chris? wot happens if 2 or more people give the same team? is it the 1st to hand it in gets it?

Only one pick from the list I have given from last years 2009 winners......each dog they pick scores as they do...for instance, Kai Sera scored 106pts in total in 2009, and Mo Chara scored 84pts, you follow each dog each month in the Top Ten Round Up, supplied by Alison and the others Brood and Stud by Tony Richardson & Jane Rowell who both send in reports regularly....

You could choose Pickpocket once again (only one choice from above 2009 winners) add another bitch, say Branco, 2 x dogs for exapmple Maid your Point & More or Less, add 2 x scratch racers possibly Roger the Dodger and Sugar Mouse, plus 1 x brood maybe Rapid Stag and add 1 x stud dog maybe Tinkerman, and they are the dogs you will follow all year.....updates from you can appear say every couple of months of who is doing well in the competition. If more than one person has the same number of points at the end of the year, then the prizes will be shared.
