Fleur and Amie jumped out over a 5ft fence at 4 0'clock this afternoon.

They were seen apparently heading along a local lane, about 30 minutes later, in the direction of home, but then vanished into thin air.

A large search party have been out this afternoon and police, local vets and all the houses in the local area have been informed.

Fleur is 9 years old, fawn with grey muzzle witha front tooth missing.

Amie is 2 years old, red fawn with black mask.

Please please keep your eyes open for these 2. It really is breaking my heart and I am frantic with worry.

OMG Debbie you poor thing. Can I come and help look, I will drive over right now if you think I could be of any help. Poppy got out yesterday (baby rabbit time of year I think) and I was frantic but she came home on her own, so I know how you feel.

PLEASE let me know if there is anything at all I can do...

    They're HOME!!! :D :D :D

    But under very strange circumstances!

I had just got in from doing a final trawl in the dark, about 9.15 when a large 4 x 4 slowed up and crawled past the house then sped off.

2 minutes later I heard the tags on their collars rattling and low and behold they were outside the house.

Considering they had been gone well over 5 hours and were 3 hours past their tea time, I would have expected them to be thirsty, hungry, muddy and tired but no, they came in clean, not hungry and didn't even look at the water bowl.

A friend out looking for them in her car passed this 4 x 4 four times in the space of a few minutes and assumed, as it was travelling back and forwards the same as she was, that it was someone else looking for the dogs.

I strongly believe that this person had picked the girls up from the lane and for whatever reason kept them until they realised the whole neighbourhood was looking for them and returned them.

I NEVER NEVER want to go through that again. I have gone through almost every emotion known to man from crying buckets at losing them to crying buckets on their return.

One thing it has taught me though is how kind people are. People in the village I hardly know were out in their cars looking and friends rallied round, plus the messages of support on the internet. THANK YOU all.

    Debbie
