It is with much sadness that we are looking for a new home for our 2 Whippets.

Brian is a 4 old fawn brindle & white whippet and Nigel is a blue & white 3 yr old whippet.

Both are KC registered with full paperwork, neutered, microchipped & fully innoculated.

They are both very healthy and have never needed treatment for any illness. They have always been fed on Burns with the occasional chicken wings and veggies.

They are both very friendly dogs and excellent with children of all ages and other dogs. They have never been around cats so I couldn't say what they would be like with them.

They must stay together as Nigel in particular is very dependant on Brian and gets very frantic if they are seperated.

They are house dogs and could not be housed outside although they are used to being crated at night and enjoy snuggling up together.

It is through no fault of their own that we are looking to re home them, but although we work from home we are working such long hours that they are just not getting the excercise that they crave & need.

Our eldest son used to walk them a lot, but he now has a job as well as college, and will soon be leaving home.

We are not asking money for them but we want them to go to the right home so we would want to come and see where they were going to live. We live in York so we are looking for a home within reasonable travelling distance.

Thanks for looking.

Hi, have you thought of contacting Scruples whippet rescue?? They may be able to help find a suitable home which has been checked :luck: :luck:

Please, please contact Scruples Whippet Rescue. :)) They don't have kennels so you don't need to be worried about that - the dogs can stay with you until a suitable home is found. They usually have a waiting list of people wanting a whippet and in December they successfully rehomed two together. They will fully homecheck any potential home and offer full lifetime back up so the dogs will not be passed from pillar to post or separated.

Oddly enough, I also have a blue and white dog and he is also the more highly strung and dependent dog - I know someone else who has one and hers is the same! He's very loving and quite biddable but definitely requires more attention! He's a bit loopy and special but I love him to bits!

Good luck finding them a home - please don't advertise them anywhere as you will get all kinds of people posing as pet owners :( Also, many people want blue and whites so may take both and then split them up :( Scruples would make sure that doesn't happen and will keep you updated with news (how often depends on the new owners) once they are rehomed if you would like that.

Also totally agree re. Scruples. That way you'll get peace of mind in knowing that Nigel and Brian get the very best new start having made what must have been a very brave and difficult decision. Very good luck to you and your boys. :luck:

Thanks to everyone for your advice. I will contact Scruples to see if they can help,

if its just a question of exercise why not get a good recommended dog walker to take them out for you each day?that way they get their walkies and you get to keep your beloved dogs. if you need any recommendations ask your local vets or training clubs.theres a lady comes on my local doggy forum who is a dog walker and shes brilliant, does training etc etc and is really good

Have these dogs been adopted yet please?
