"NORTH DOWN LURCHER & TERRIER CLUB" will be hosting their 2nd and what aims to be Irelands most prestigious lurcher & terrier show, on SUNDAY 5TH AUGUST 2007.

the venue is our club ground "BILLY NEILL PITCHES" COMBER ROAD, DUNDONALD, BELFAST BT16. see map link below .....

http://maps.google.co.uk/maps?f=q&hl=en&q=...iwloc=addr&om=1

STARTING TIME IS..... 11AM IN THE SLIPS FOR "STRAIGHT RACING" ..unders followed by over 23"s.

the "LURCHER & TERRIER SHOW" is immediatley after followed by a limited entry "SIMULATED COURSING CHAMPIONSHIP" held over a layout of around 500 yds. a show schedule will be posted soon giving class details.

can i add to this weve been fortunate enough to capture karen (rodders) and her hubby george for this event and to benefit from his expertise in the lurcher field as our show judge !

so far every show held in ulster this year has had no rules or regulations which ultimately has ruined the events or at best caused grievances, our club commitee will be organising a "standard of rules for showing and racing" which will be adhered to...no debating them ! they will be posted in various positions for all to read at the showgrounds.

IF YOU DONT LIKE WHAT YOURE READING THAT DAY, KEEP DRIVING !!

unlike all the numpty shows you may have visited before were 1pm start meant 330pm...11am in the slips here means dogs "good to go" at ..11am !!

NO MUZZLES NO RACE !

for anyone considering travelling from further afield on ferrys etc...belfast harbour is 5 miles away and if needs be we can arrange to meet you to "escort" you.

any further details needed feel free to contact myself..shadow-hunter or longstone lad. hope to see a few ol faces maybe a few new ones too.

and on a more serious note..theres a big ****-up in the "moat inn" afterwards !!!!!

j :D hn

500yards in the sim :D well that has attracted me,how much is the ferry john, and how much is a caravan on the ferry??????? pre book me for the sim mate with burnt out and average kit and kat  mark

John. You need to let me know about the race between the under's and over's mate.Does it happen or not,as i have to get the sheild made,or cup bought if im too late to get it made. And that is great new's about the judge,as it will be a change from gun dog ownwer's,or people who have never had lurcher's,and would'nt know one from a poodle.

Mark.Im sure you wont need a caravan mate.Someone must have a spare kennel and run.Would put you up myself, but im a 100 miles the other way,and as John say's its 10 minutes from the dock's.Im 2 hour's.Would love to see youre wee hairy flyin machine's though. And watch them strut their stuff in the sim.You would also get another crack at Tori,if you're game enough. They're not pup's now mate. And i know you like a chalenge that will prove them as good as you recon they are. ...Billy...

thanks for the offer billy and iam sure i will be able to sort somthing out, youre right there when you said there not pups this time and i would love a crack at tori and i know rose will take that in good faith win are loose not like others,i think cat will give her a run for her money as last time they met cat was 10 months old she did the puppy racin and won and came 2nd to her in the unders straight after, but theres sim as well and a 500 metre coarse is there type of coarse, stormy has seen what she can do on the big coarses against big and small dogs, mark

WOULDN'T HAVE THOUGHT THE PRICE OF A FERRY TO GO TO IRELAND WOULD BOVER YOU WITH ALL THAT MONEY YOU HAVE MADE :D

I'VE NOT MADE MINE YET WITH ONLY BEING 16 (NOT 14) BORN JUNE 1991 ITS NOW JUNE 2007  OBVIOUSLY YOU DIDN'T MAKE ALL THAT MONEY IN THE FIELD OF MATHMATICS OR TEACHING ENGLISH.

I DON'T KNOW HOW YOU MANAGED TO COUNT ALL ;) THOSE WABBITS YOU CAUGHT 2670 WHEN YOU'VE ONLY GOT 8 FINGERS AND 2 THUMBS (HA HA TOMTHUMB)

C U IN IRELAND (w00t)

JUST A THOUGHT, WHY DON'T YOU AND YOUR SIDE KICK GO OVER IN THAT BOAT OF YOURS, YOU KNOW THE ONE YOU WAS BRAGGING OFF ON HERE.

A LITTLE NURSERY RHYME FOR YOU

The Owl and the Pussycat

The owl and the pussycat went to sea in a beautiful pea-green boat

They took some honey and plenty of money,

Wrapped up in a five pound note.

The owl looked up to the stars above and sang to a small guitar,

"Oh, lovely pussy, oh pussy my love,

What a beautiful pussy you are, you are, you are,

What a beautiful pussy you are."

Pussy said to the Owl, "You elegant fowl,

How charmingly sweet you sing!

Oh! let us be married too long we have tarried

But what shall we do for a ring?"

They sailed away, for a year and a day,

To the land where the Bong Tree grows,

And there in a wood a piggy-wig stood

With a ring at the end of his nose, his nose, his nose,

A ring at the end of his nose.

Said the owl, "Are you willing to sell, for one shilling, your ring?"

Said the piggy, "I will".

So they took it away and were married next day

By the turkey who lived on the hill.

They dined on quince—and slices of mince,

Served up with a runcible spoon

And hand in hand, by the edge of the sand,

They danced by the light of the moon, the moon, the moon,

They danced by the light of the moon.

HOLD ON A SECOND MATEY........THIS POST IS NOT FOR YOU TO COME ON TO AND CARRY ON SLAGGING MARKBRICK OFF.

YOUVE DONE THAT ON ENOUGH POSTS ALREADY.

NO OFFENCE MASTER TOM THUMB ESQ......BUT KEEP IT FOR OTHER POSTS .

THANKS JOHN
