this is a long shot but I thought I would try, just to see if anyone knows anyone who MAY be looking for a puppy ...

A friend had a puppy "presented" to her at Christmas by her husband; she works full time in a very demanding job, and has 2 small children; her husband suffers from ill-health and my friend is the main carer for the family as well as working full time.

My friend, I understand, had not expressed the desire for a dog or a puppy but since the puppy was plonked on her at Christmas (and obviously her children love the puppy) she got on with trying to fit it in with everything else she does (and she does love the puppy, it has to be said) but things aren't well with her family and to cut a long story as short as possible, she is no longer in a position to look after the puppy and needs to find it a good home.

I must stress this is not a problem of my friend's own making but something that was dropped on her, but due to serious problems she is no longer able to keep the puppy.

He is a large-ish terrier/border collie cross, 6 months old; I am told he is quiet (not barky), is housetrained and he is not destructive; that's all I know of him.

It is all a very sad situation and the puppy is much loved but she cannot keep him (there is a lot I haven't gone into here, I've given you the bare bones of the situation).

If anyone knows of a likely home (and I know it's a long shot) please get back to me.

I should add that my friend's puppy is in North Yorkshire (not far from Scarborough). If I could work out how to post photos, I would put a couple up here. I might have to do that tomorrow.

Oh bless x

What a terrible situation.

I do hope he finds a loving and permanent home very soon :luck:

Thanks Jane. Puppy is no longer available and I hope everything works out for him. We seriously considered giving him a home ourselves but I just cannot take on anyone/anything else at the minute.
