Hi Rae,

How does the points system work, I thought I had worked it out and then there was an anomoly.

West Somerset do it on 3 rounds of racing .......

1st place = 4 points

2nd place = 3 points etc ..... add all of the dogs 3 rounds of points together and there you have it ......

We had a great day at Somerset as always and was very pleased with the way Ethel has come on  ....... She's never ever put a foot wrong  ......She's always had determination but is now IMO starting to push herself too hard for a puppy.....We are going to give her a break as she knows what shes doing and let her grow on now ...... Chris took some photos that we'll post as soon as we can :D ...... Cheers again :huggles:

thank you for a nice days racing,And thank you to Pat for trapping Bow.Lee

Hi Jo,

As Hannah said 1st = 4 points etc - but there was a 3 dog and a 2 dog race in the lightweights (as Gill Harcombe doesnt want her bitches to run together) and then one of them was 're-ran' as the lure stopped just short of the line. However neither Jason nor Margaret wanted to re-run their dogs so Gill was given 4 points and both Margaret and Jason were given 3. Does that account for the anomoly or have I made a mistake elsewhere?

The "anomoly" was because I was trying to work out a completely different system with how I thought it worked, but thanks for the explanation, it is always interesting to see how other clubs work. I have only ever trialed at W.Somerset so was unsure about the scoring. I was really only asking out of interest and certainly

didn't intend to infer any errors had been made  Apologies if my post was clumsy and appeared that way. :(
