Hi we have a lovely walk down here in Cornwall ( Gabbitas31) has posted some lovely pictures of her dogs at the lost church perranporth on here http://www.k9community.co.uk/forums/index....showtopic=71190
Yesterday we took our 5 1/2 month lurcher pup there for a walk and for her to have a mooch around off lead, knowing how excitable and over friendly she can be, jumping up people to say hello, we always call her back and put her on a lead when we see other walkers around as the area is used by all sorts of people not just dog walkers who don't always appreciate being jumped on by an over excited pup, this we did yesterday when we saw a couple approaching and as they got closer we saw they had 2 whippet sized dark coloured lurchers and a golden retriever all off lead with them, we stood to one side to allow them to pass and without any provocation from our pup or any warning given by them, the 2 lurchers suddenly attacked our pup and were then joined by the retriever. She ended up with a number of nips and pinches to her groin area and a puncture wound which has required vet treatment to her rear quarters, the only way the attack stopped is because I managed to scoop her up in my arms out of the reach of these dogs, the other owners made no attempt to recall the dogs when I was shouting for him to do so, in fact he had the gaul to actually blame us for his dogs attacking our pup, his reasoning was that she should not have been on a lead and then his dogs would not have atacked our pup, he then went on to say we should not have a dog if we didn't know how to handle one. I can only describe him as a typcal heavily tattood shaven headed thug who is always right, you know the type we've all met one at some time or another who uses aggression and intimidation to prove his point. Fortunateley we met some other dog walkers just after this happened with friendly dogs and our pups trust in other dogs was quickly restored. As I have received some bruising to my knee during this our local police would like to speak to him about his out of control dogs, so if anyone recognises the description heavy built about 5' 10" heavily tatood arms, shaven headed with 2 dark coloured (slightly brindle like) lurchers slightly larger than whippet size and a golden retriever then please let me or Devon & Cornwall police know his identity before a child gets hurt trying to protect their dog.
If this moron is reading this then I hope you are proud of yourself and your out of control dogs, it must be a pleasure to own dogs that attack young puppies for no reason.
