Much mixed emotions for me this weekend. Had some bad news about Brindle on Saturday and went home with 2 babies on sunday!!!
Took Brindle to see Sandra Osborne (running dog specialist) on saturday to have his leg looked at as he has been lame on and off for a few weeks now, after an hour of examination it wasnt great news....he has nurve damage and a distroyed ligiment in his shoulder so the poor boy is now having physio and treatment for 3 weeks before he goes back to see Sandra. If this treatment dont work then he will have an injection to help scar the nurve. Then it is no running for about 8 months - so i have made the decision to retire him.
At the age of 5, he has been a fantastic dog and done me proud now he deserves a well earned rested. If in 12 months or so he is fully recovered and wants to then i will run him lightly for fun and maybe do a little light work with him as well.
Sunday was a different day by far.....went to a great show and went home with a baby ferret and a new puppy!!
The baby ferret was one of my Pongo's 1st litter - they were 8 weeks old and all absolutly gorgeous, i found it very hard to choose the one i wanted
But i did and i took home a gorgeous silver hob which my little sister named Hecter!! And i have to say he is exactly like his dad
Then, much to my surprise i bought a puppy!! She was in a pen in the back of a van and when i seen her i fell in love with her and knew i had to have her. A little girl who i named Sky - she is gorgeous and settling in very well at home. At 9 weeks old we have a long way to go but im really looking forward to the training
Here are some pictures to follow.
