A JOINT WHIPPET RACERS VENTURE
As you all know by now the Blidworth Club have had to cancel their New Years Day Open, being that this as always been a popular event it is gratifying to know that offers of help have come in thick and fast in the shape of help on the day and venues to run at. Therefore we have decided to run an open event at Asfordby W.R.C. who have kindly offered their track and help for the day, a very magnanimous gesture on their part, also help has been offered by some N.N.W.R.F. committee members on this day, so it seems unfair to call it the Blidworth new years bash and it will be run as a joint venture by those wishing to help whippet racing on this day.
This event will have a 100% pay out and as before the handicap will be decided on the entry numbers, due to day light hours we cannot guarantee 2 races for each dog but we will do our best in the time allotted. Weigh in will be until 11-00am and Scratch and pups will be run off ASAP. Entry fee £3-00p 50p lure.
It is hoped that this meeting will prove that we can all work together for the good of our sport and the racers on the day have just the same responsibility as the workers on the day to our sport. It is hoped that this event will meet with your approval.
