A bit late I know - but I would like to thank every one at Old Hall who were so
caring and generous on Sunday after Zenas accident when Barbara handed
over the collection I just burst into tears - I cannot describe how much it meant
to me. A special thanks Delia who offered to take me to the vets especially as
you are not 100% at the mo. As for Dean- what a lovely man you are, you
drove me to the vets and you were so kind and calm even offering to drive
me all the way home.
I would also want to thank all the people who have sent their best wishes to
Zena and Tess. As Sal has posted my own vets could not deal with Zenas injury.
She has fractured both her radius and ulna bone just above her wrist.
The major problem is that the radius has also splintered length ways, which makes
it difficult to plate the breaks. On the xrays my vet took there appears to be a small
bone chip, but it is unclear exactly were this has come from. Tomorrow Zena will
have more xrays and surgery. I have got everything crossed for our little girl.
A word of advice to racers - if possible get your dogs insured................
As for my old girl Tess - she had to have her womb removed last thursday after
suffering a hemorrhage in the early hours of wednesday morning - Zena actually
woke me up I did tell the folks at Old Hall on Sunday the long tale. The choice I
was given with Tess was have her operated on or haver her pts, as she had walked
into the surgery, attempted to bite the vet because he dared to try and pick her up,
and her heart/lungs were in my vets words unbelieveable good for a dog her age, and
I didnt think she was suffering or ready to "go" she had the operation. On Friday morning
she was stood at the front door with the others waiting to go for her usual little walk!!
Once again - thank you xx
