First, please could I direct you to this thread - What exactly does my daughter see? Is it normal to be scared of the dog like she is?

The links in the thread display differently. Can anyone tell me why? When you look at the screenshot, they appear to have exactly the same format.

I've checked the other thread, looks OK to me. It would be interesting to see the BB code (done by clicking the [ ] icon).
 
So much for that theory - the first link above is to a thread, the second to a post in the thread. And this introduces a third way of showing a link - giving the topic title and forum name, but not expanding any text. Hmmmm....
 
@arealhuman, I did what you suggested and it doesn't change what is in the screenshot at all.
It wasn't supposed to! Looking at the BB code might give a clue as to why it's happening, but in retrospect I suspect it'll only show the code in your preview. The thread still looks OK to me, I just see the clickable links.

Edit - you could perhaps try removing the unfurl bit, i.e. unfurl=true so you just have URL at the beginning, together with /URL at the end (had to remove square brackets otherwise it shows as a link!).
