Hi everyone
Just a wee note with a few queries I have about Scruples whippet rescue.
Well we've been interested in getting another whippet for quite a while; after looking after a friends "non-whippet" we realised how good whippets are compared to some other breeds and we also realised that it might be quite nice to own multiple dogs, now that we've had Daisy for over 2 years.
We were at first considering a puppy but we thought it might be nice to give a second chance to one of the beautiful adult whippets currently without a home. We looked at a number of different rescue organisations, but there didn't seem to be any near us that had any whippets on offer. So after looking at the k9s in need section on here we decided we'd look at Scruples. Immediately we saw a couple of whippies that we really liked and looked like they might seem suitable for us (we felt that an adult would be a better option). So we filled out the application form and immediately we got a reply saying that our application had been received and that we should allow up to 7 days for them to get back to us. That was 2 weeks ago and we still haven't received a response from them. So does this mean our application has been rejected? Or are they just busier than normal and so taking longer to respond. I just thought that seeing as they are based in England and Wales and we live in Scotland, they might just ignore our application, however it says they are willing to rehome of the whippets in particular in Scotland. I'm considering writing an email to them asking if they received our application but I don't want to seem too pushy  What do you think I should do? I know some of you are very familiar with Scruples and I just wondered if any of you might be able to help.
Thanks
