Big thanks to George, Craig, John & Keith for going over to do work on the track on Monday. There were parts of the track covering drains that needed digging up and raising and turf being laid which could only be done once work was completed by the footballers to their pitches. We've now been offered a temporary track to run on until our own track can be used and i believe this one is very good too. Both tracks were being rolled on Tuesday.

So we're hoping to start back on Wednesday 11th April 6.30pm start

seems like quiet a few folks having track problems one way or another.but folks are sticking in to resolve the problems well done lads  :luck: :luck:

First meeting of the straight season tonight. Start 6.30pm but any help earlier to set up would be appreciated by those of us who are coming straight from work.

Also if anyone has any raffle prizes they could bring would be a big help

Handslips / trials first and then i will be down about 7pm to time dogs in for the handicap

A brilliant turnout tonight for the first meeting of the year. 34 dogs in total, our temporary track looked fit to run an open on and stood up to the atrocious weather very well.

Trials kicked off the night with Roo, Sheena & Zak (Showman x Whiskey Fudge) all going well. Mad Jack had his first trial back after a layoff of having his corn removed and looked well 8.87 and diving in for the lure - i think he was glad to be back. Only 4 peds tonight, they made their own races up with Rob's Darcy & Carl's Sally the winners first time round. Ou big lad Sailor (Just Friends x Marsh Brook Bear) had a trial from the boxes and went well in a time of 8.68 and then we had two big Lurchers both having a trial and going well.

A brilliant night for the handicap with blanket finishes in all the races, a good experience for the youngsters.
