Good try Haycroft but this was well before Tinker's moon any thing.i dont know many racing.show past whippets, but i can vaguely remember a white whippet in a book and the name had 'Tinker' or 'moon' in it
most proberly totally wrong..duh
im sure someone knows appart from yourself
Hi Tina & ColinI know the photo is black & white but is that just to fool us :- could it be Lady in white owned by shirley rawlings and I know the bitch did all 3 event's  and was 28lbs
May be!No Summersway, wrong type. Is it from the 60s?????
Hi BarbarsWas she from your boy Champagne Charlie Tina?I know the photo is black & white but is that just to fool us :- could it be Lady in white owned by shirley rawlings and I know the bitch did all 3 event's  and was 28lbs
WELL DONE Judy yes it is Reg and Cis Francis's PolyPolly - Franciscan Polyanthus?
I've no idea really, just fits the criteria.
I think Tina's guess of Lady in White (Chyton Quelle Chance) could be right.
No one of Shirley'sChyton Quelle Chance is a white bitch, in that photo she doesn't look right, maybe it's not her. I don't know. I think she was the only white whippet Shirley had.
Barbara - or should I call you Dr WatsonIn reply to Marks questions Rob said nothing to do with any book earlier. So that leaves out Shirley Rawlings and the Chyton dogs (I think).
Interesting point for you Bertha - a Laguna bitch (Laguna Lysandra) was put to a Franciscan dog (Franciscan Genista) and the result was RCh Hideaway top 16lber a little after, but Hideaway was born around the time of the Picture.Laguna????? maybe.
I have her as being born 1/10/68 Rob.WELL DONE Judy yes it is Reg and Cis Francis's PolyPolly - Franciscan Polyanthus?

She was a good scratch runner, under 20" but born too early in the History of Racing ie 1966 some 44 years ago.
I cam across this picture in my search for Photos of old racers.
In the Picture Poly has just won the bitch section of the Racing & Coursing classes at the Whippet Club's Show 1970.
She was 16 months old.
Hi JudyI have her as being born 1/10/68 Rob.
Hi Colin & TinaHi Rob, Just to let you know Lady in white was breed by shirley rawlings out of Zola and RCH champagne Charlie, she was a 28lb pure white bitch, racing, coursing, and the ring, there was a litter of 12 unfortuntley 1 died, I had judgement day and jan and toddy had tally o.Sorry just to let you know and we do remember black and white just lol
For those interestedHi JudyI have her as being born 1/10/68 Rob.
I have her dob as 1/10/66
but if she was a 66 pup she would have been 4 at the show
when I know she was less than 2 ie dob 68
Thanks for the correct dob had it wrong since 1985. another error found.
Did you know Dave & I bred WCRCh Hideaway & we owned Laguna Lynsandra, she was mated on the day that my eldest daughter Lesley was born, 14th January 1970.
Mr & Mrs Frances took us to Mrs McKay's to get her. We would often take Polly racing for them
The good old days
PS Polly raced at 28lb
