The racing at Newmarket today was for the Advent Trophy over 150 yards at yd/lb. This was the first weekend of the Winter Racing Programme. The track was in a soft to very soft condition and the weather was bright sunshine (after a stormy Saturday). Runners were limited and only the lightweight group ran through to a final. Other runners helped out with the numerous trials that seem to come our way at this time of the season.
