Hi

I have just had a three year old rescue dog from Romania. I am unsure as to her breed though. I was wondering if somebody on here could shed a light as to what breed she is. I have attached some pictures for you.

There are a lot of street dogs in Romania, I have one of them. I did look into getting him DNA tested but the company that DNA tests crossbreeds in this country will not test dogs from Romania. I am guessing it is because they are so mixed up that no one or two breeds stand out.

Many people who have lived abroad will tell you that certain areas seem to have a certain "type" of dog. Whether this is down to one male dog winning all the females to mate with it is hard to say.

I love to guess what my boy is made up of. Looks wise, he resembles a small German Shepherd. Behaviour wise I would say he has some hound in him. If I had to guess at a cross of just two dogs I would say a cross between a German Shepherd and a Whippet. In reality he is probably a mix of lots of dogs. I have seen dogs from Romania that were almost identical to him but different ages so not his siblings.
