Hi, I have a 17 week old staff. He was very nippy for what feels like ages when we first got him but has calmed down considerably the last two weeks.
But he gets over excited with my husband and tends to still bite him often. My husband knows to move away from him and let him calm down as he gets over excited but twice recently my husband has simply sat on the floor, without even looking at pup and he’s jumped up and bitten his nose, bad enough to draw blood. Can anyone advise what we should do to deal with this as I’m concerned that he is going to be a big boy once fully grown and this just can’t happen. Thank you

Hi, and welcome to the forum. Have a read of this post and see if it helps: Puppy biting

For now, management will play a large part of this - avoid the situations where it happens so it doesn't become a habit, a default behaviour. So for the time being, your husband should avoid sitting on the floor.
