When i walked down to back of my garden yesterday I found a pumpkin (w00t) high up in my rambling rose!!! The stalks were all withered and dried, does that mean that the pumpkin is ready to eat? I remember vaguely the last time I grew some pumpkins about decade ago, i cut some before they were ripe. But that time I had about 60 of them so it did not matter - in the end I kept sneaking around our street at night leaving pumpkins on my neighbors' doorsteps
But i do not want to cut this one unless I can be sure it is ready. Any ideas?
