Albert got a write up in Oct 2009 Dogs Today Magazine (just out)

I see a black Albert on the website http://www.rspca-halifax.org.uk - the picture in the magazine looks more whippety (muzzle looks slimmer, ears in typical whippet semi-erect position)

Anyway, according to the Dogs Today feature whippetx Albert has been in RSPCA care since he was a puppy but had to be kept in kennels for a long time due to court procedings. He was rehomed in Dec 2008 and adjusted well to life in a house but recently the new owners returned Albert with the complaint that he is too excitable, jumps up and mouths, is giddy around other dogs. (website just says he was fostered for 6 mos and has now returned to RSPCA) So now they are looking for an experienced and committed home to give him the training he needs. It says the home should be without children and other pets, yet I wonder why he couldn't go to a home with other dogs under the right conditions?

If you would consider homing Albert and want to find out more, get in touch with Karen Adams at The Halifax and District RSPCA (01422 365628)

How very sad that he's back in kennels after six months with a family, he must wonder what on earth is happening :(

Not surprising he finds 'real life' exciting after the start he had and being in kennels from a pup. He sounds like a fabulous little dog for someone who is prepared to put in some groundwork with him, I really hope he's not waiting too long :luck:
