All Breed Dog Racing

Wow great fun day out on those piks! :D

We did something similar earlier this year at Westhoughton in aid of the Tsunami relief appeal, it was a brilliant day of non-ped, ped whippet and lurcher racing but we also invited any dog whose owner was interested for a little trial. It was an absolute riot to watch springer spaniels fly around and the crowds were in uproar at they're crazy antics (wagging tails and cutting corners!)

 Brilliant pictures. Looks like everyone had fun.

Over the years we"ve had the pleasure of seeing many different breeds run from the fiesty terriers up to the graceful deerhounds each one has been a sight to see,a lot of people only think that greyhounds run and are amazed to find out that we race whippets.

WOW what a fun day out. My two (and me :p )would love a day out like that

There are some great pics on there thanks for sharing

a German resident of Ireland told me about a type of all breed racing (or rather time trials) held at German dog shows. The dogs don't chase a lure, simply come to their handler's call and are racing against the stopwatch.

In some of the photos the owners are running along besides their dogs. Bit like Alan when we've tried to lure course the deerhound.

When I think that he (deerhound) comes from good coursing stock and he will only run in a straight line.................. :b His breeder used to course every day that she could she'd have been so embarassed by him.

Great pictures!!! they look like they had a great time!!

fab pics!loved the beagle one with his ears flapping in the wind!lovely! :D
