No they didnt advise of that Terry, the only other thing other than the ones we have done that they advised was a very pricey referral for an injection to be made for him that may not have worked anyway so we decided against it.

The place we have gone to for the raw diet come highly recommended and he really seemed to know what he was talking about so hopefully this does help and we can tackle any environemental allergies with bathing and his shampoo.

Thanks Terry

if the injection was meant to reduce the dog's sensitivity by exposing them to tiny controlled amounts of the allergen, U can only do that *AFTER* U've determined what the allergen/s is / are. :p U can't just blindly stuff an assortment of allergens into a syringe, LOL, & stick 'em in the dog. :D

that's what the elimination diet is for - determining what the dog can & does tolerate well, & what they cannot.
Otherwise, U're just flailing around in the dark. // Have U been referred to a k9 dermatologist? 99% of dogs' allergenic reactions are skin-based, as that's where they have their mast cells, the makers of histamine.

I'd see a dog-dermatologist ASAP, & if U don't have coverage, I'd also get vet-insurance & wait out the induction period until the dog is FULLY COVERED b4 getting a Dx'tic work-up by the dermo. ;) Otherwise, the condition will be Dx'ed b4 coverage kicks in, will be a pre-existing condition, & is now impossible to cover.

good luck,

This is what my dog went through from when she was one year old onwards and it was very time consuming. The vial she had made for her - after lots of tests - was for various tree moulds and pollens. Also dust mite.
She’s was on monthly immunotherapy injections up until about 3 months ago. Although she was on them for three years, they never made any difference so I decided to stop them 3 months ago because she’s stopped itching due to the evening oil of primrose. So keeping our fingers crossed now that it continues
