ANGIE

Angie is a little lurcher girl who is approx. 3 years old. She was straying in Ireland before being picked up by the dog warden. She is most likely a saluki x whippet and has a gorgeous blue fawn coat with the shadows of a lighter face mask. Angie is a petite little girl at 20” to the shoulder and can curl up very small.

Angie is a quiet little sweetie who is gentle and mannered. She is friendly and loves receiving affection from her people. She can be a bit timid of strangers approaching her and will run away to avoid being ‘caught’. This will improve once she is in a secure home environment and has a bit of work done on gaining her confidence.

Angie has had a tough life and has the many scars to prove it. She was initially very difficult to catch, being terrified of anyone approaching her, but since then she has settled very well and is improving daily. She may possibly be pregnant, though it may also be a pseudo-pregnancy or sadly perhaps she has recently had a litter. The vet is undecided at the moment, and she will be re-examined again in 2 weeks to see if there are any changes.

Angie has been well behaved with the other dogs she has met and walks nicely on the lead. She has not yet been cat tested, though this can be carried out prior to adoption if needed. She has never been in a home environment before, so new owners will need to be a bit patient during the first couple of weeks and allow her time to settle in and become accustomed to the home life. Due to her past as a stray, she will also need a bit of work on her recall before she can be safely let offlead.

Angie is currently being kennelled in Ireland, and can be transported via Kerry Greyhounds to the UK or Europe if a suitable home offer comes up. Please note that adopters will need to travel to our nearest collection point to pick her up. She is vaccinated, de-flea'd and wormed and a homecheck will be required as part of the adoption procedure. She will also be neutered before going to her new home.

If you are interested in fostering or adopting Angie, please email me on tamakin_84@yahoo.co.uk for our adoption application form and information pack. Thanks!
