The Animal Health Trust have put out a request for owners who have had dogs affected by the mysterious illness that affected their dogs and which at the time was unexplained. I know there was someone on here that put out a topic about how their dog was very ill and the vet thought it to be something to do with the spores of the ferns. Apparently there were cases in clumber park nottinghamshire and The sandringham estate in Norfolk.

If anyone has experienced this I think the form is on the AHT website. Take a look I guess it could affect us all.

I have just viewed the AHT site again and its called SCI, Season Canine Illness. Two more areas too, Thetford Forest Norfolk and Sherwood Forest. There have been quite a few deaths and AHT are anxious to hear from anyone regarding this. The symptons are diarrahea, sickness and lethargy,

Please take time to read and spread the news around your dog friends.

Is this to do with the suspected poisonings 2009-2010? as i know someone whose toy poodle died after a walk in the Nottingham affected area, her friends 2 dogs who with with them were both very ill and lucky to survive. The cause was never found but many dogs got very sick and a few others died as well :(

Not sure, All I remember someone posting this quite a while ago about how two of their dogs had ended up in the vets after taking a walk and it was a warning to others. Animal Health Trust must have had a fair few referrels or vets telling them about it.

I do hope more people read this TOPIC and go to their website. Imagine how upsetting to be out with your pet for a lovely walk to come back with your dog very unwell or even worse dead.

Just Bringing this topic to the Fore as I feel its important news. Especially as there seems to be at least four different parts of the country that are affected.
