On Sunday morning in the most ordinary conditions in Newcastle (NSW, Aust) Charlie gained the final points that see him now being

Grand Champion Tezer Feel Free To Stare (Ch/Am Ch Countrywinds Whoze Ever (Imp USA) x Tezer Send in the Clowns)

Charlie came to live with us from Garry & Danielle Dryburgh when he was 4 months old, they had asked if I would like to run him on for them while Electra was on maternal duties. I arrived home with him and he immediately bonded with Harley, who insisted he keep Charlie as a name because it was like his  , and I think we were keeping him after two days. And because we were reading Charlie & the Chocolate Factory at the time he became Charlie Bucket.

Our first weekend out in the ring he went Baby Puppy In Show and his career has continued from there - although like Electra he has had a few run ins with large hopping animals and has twice been opened up and required major surgery and time out of the ring.

But over the past 5 1/2 years he has accrued the following wins:

Best In Specialty Show

Reserve Challenge (Specialty)

BOB Royal Melbourne Show

RUBOB Royal Easter Show

2 x Reserve Challenge Royal Easter Show

Multiple Best & Runner Up In Group wins

Multiple BOB's & Dog CC's at major International Shows

Rarely Unplaced at Specialty Shows

Very very often requested Junior Handler Dog

His Calivale kids are doing him proud in both Australia and New Zealand with Specialty class wins, Class in Group wins and points too.

We thank Garry and Danielle for letting him come to be with us & congratulate them for breeding him. We love his "talking" at dinner time and the way he rubs against our legs trying to trip us up so he gets his food quicker and the way that he coped with Nugget returning to the Isilwane fold. They have had the odd word or two since them but for the most part spend their lives understanding that "the girls" are the bosses of the yard and they should just do what they're told.

So with Miss Electra, he will spend more time chilling out at home and come out for the important shows (Royals, Specialties & Internationals).

Well done Charlie Bucket

Congratuations to Charlie, Lisa and the Dryburghs.

He's a wonderful boy. :)

To get a GR CH on a Whippet is no mean feat.. plenty of competition in the breed.
