Has anyone given their dog this medication?
Or know anything about it?

My dog has just been prescribed it and I wasn't really told much, except that it should be easy to give as the tablet tastes nice.

Thanks

Why was it prescribed?

I think it's a supplement, rather than a medication.

I haven't used it, but if Bungo is having some problems, it may be worth trying.
Thanks Rafa.

I'm having some work done in the house soon, it's to (hopefully) help him during that time.
I'll update on here with how he is on it.

Thanks Rafa.

If there’s something similar for cats I’d be interested - we’re having an ensuite complete overhaul soon. George’s going to go spare.

The prescription label says it's for cats and small dogs.

I would appreciate knowing whether it worked for him.

I'm always interested in something that works for anxiety, for Rudi, the Expensive Fool of a Staffy.

I will start by saying that according to the people who make Anxitane, you should ideally start two weeks before the stressful event, so it can build up in your dog/cats system, unfortunately my vets only gave me enough for the work period, therefore Bungo didn't get the full effect.

I think it helped a little, Bungo was still stressed, but his normal signs of stress were not as intense. (shaking, panting, pawing at my lap, barking)

We've never had work like we had this past week, so have nothing to compare it too, but while the workmen were here Bungo didn't eat, barely drank and therefore didn't toilet much, but he was able to recover quite quickly once they'd left for the day, if the Anzitane helped with his recover each day I can't be certain, but I think it might.

As you can buy it online without a prescription, I'm going to get some and see if it helps with vet visits, online is a lot cheaper then the cost from the vets.
I'll try to remember to update again once we've had a proper try.

If anyone else gives it a go I'd love to hear if it helped.
