We have 2 children (c.10) who would love to get a long haired chihuahua. I've heard they get quite protective over 1 person. Would this be the case if I spend most of the time with the dog but my a daughter also wants to be very close to it and have it sleep on the foot of her bed.

Can be snappy from the ones ive seen but saying that its what you the owner that puts into the dogs thats makes the dog, not my cup of tea bur each to there own.
