Askern Boxing Day grethound meeting at to be cancelled after the wire had been cut two places and the electrical system interfered with.I felt sorry for Ziggy who frantically tried to rectify the matter but to no avail.There were open races on at £200 per dog and people had came from Scotland and Bristol to race their dogs.

ovviously some gealous person put some one up to this. as it is getting great reports and dogs going from other stadiums,up and coming track. even got a good report in the greyhound star. please dont be put off by this ,they doing every thing right . looking foward to running there when my dogs fit. :rant:

i wonder if this has anything to do with protesters also? as i have heard that they are capable of these things. i think that they could cause more damage to the dogs than racing itself. i went to a track a few wks ago and they were there standing way to close to the track with great big boards, until they were moved on because of danger of startling the dogs so close to the bend. i must admit i wouldnt be a happy person if anything happened to my little darlings because of there thoughtless actions.

Suppose the anti's and do gooders are protesting about greyhounds being dumped/shot etc, cutting the hare line isn't gonna stop that happening mind :wacko:

I'd say let em on the track when the racers are there, without a police escort like Waterloo they'd get the sh*t kicked out of them.
