[SIZE=11pt]Astra has come from a stray pound in East Yorkshire, so we have no history on her. She’s a dainty wee Saluki/Whippet lass, about 24 ins to the shoulder, She's extremely timid and nervous but is slowly coming round and now has a wag and a lick for her carers. You can see how skinny she is as well - however, she's started to eat all her food up now she's decided it's not poisonous and is learning to trust again! She's going to need a very calm environment with an experienced owner and preferably another steady dog for a companion. She travels well, and could, we think, learn to live with a cat.[/SIZE]
[SIZE=11pt]We are also keen to find Astra a foster home.....she's very nervous and needs a quiet, calm home with a secure garden where she can gain confidence. She's a gorgeous girl, who likes people but she's scared. She begins walks on a lead like she's been beaten, she's scared of shouting, even scared of an empty dog bowl - it breaks your heart! But she gets on well with dogs and just needs a little time to learn that the world isn't such a scary place, and she'd be much better off in a home situation.
