Hello everyone! Me and my partner are new to this forum so we would firstly like to introduce ourselves as very enthusiastic dog lovers from the UK and to say that we are glad to find a place with many other fellow dog owners!
Our first thread unfortunately is quite a sad one and involves an issue that appears to be quite widespread and common. As you may have guessed from the title, we are of course talking about our dogs oral hygiene.
Did you know it is estimated that up to 80% of dogs have some form of pathology down to poor oral care? We didn't until quite recently! Upon bringing this up with our local vet during a check up, we had quite an eye opening opening conversation. Admittedly, we were guilty of having a great deal of ignorance when it came to our dogs teeth and overall care of their mouths and after speaking with the vet about this subject, we left feeling absolutely devastated. I suppose it is needless to say that from that day onward, we have now implemented a routine to ensure our dogs have the right oral care to not only prevent any unnecessary suffering for our dogs but also to potentially even add years to their lives!
In addition to this, we feel that to help us make up for the couple of years we have had such a shameful ignorance towards our dogs oral health, we have decided to make a website to help share this newly given awareness to our fellow dog lovers as well as help you find great ways to improve your dogs oral hygiene.
We invite you to please take a look at:
DogToothBrushes.net | Website Under Construction
Be advised, the website is currently under construction and is not quite finished so we will be updating it with more information in the near future. Thank you so much for your time!
