There has been a misprint in the Whippet News in regards to the charges for entry to the stadium at the B.W.R.A. bend championships.

The entry fee is £3-00p and 50p for a programme and not as advertised.

are the whippet traps been used orgreyhound

David, at the Tyrone meeting they used whippet traps for the handicap and greyhound traps for the scratch.

I do not however know for sure what they will use as all the dogs run off the same marks in 2lb weight classes, it could be either, but the light, middle and heavy weight final run offs should be in whippet traps, as indeed would be the final.

However i should phone Doreen Hopkins on 02392 486578 to make sure what they are doing with the trap situation.

( Doreen's computer is poorly sick at the moment so e-mails will not be of any use.)

thanks for info, not bothered what they use. just concerned as somebody they are wider than such as easington and would have ajust width of kick board

AT THE AGM IT WAS SAID THEY WOULD USE THE GREYHOUND TRAPS ALL THROUGH AND SWITCH TO WHIPPET TRAPS FOR THE YD/LB RUN OFFS

Well -well -well -common sense rears its ugly head yet again level breaks use the block traps ? i understood that it was in the rules this was to be the case but as usual i could be wrong and probably am. It will make things a lot easier for trap man // the position of red trap must be same though on outside ------or when you get to final any seeded dog would be on wrong side if inside was red of levels and outside for stagger / please remember this and ask as it has caused problems in the past! -----Maybe its time that the trap order was put in rule book for bends as it is outside hare we are running to /not as in the past an inside hare!

my opinion only

steve

just to let u know david the greyhound traps are wider than whippet traps so best to ring up and ask.
