hello i would just like to ask for any suggestions as to who would like to be proposed for the new posts going on the B.W.R.A. i received my postal votes this morning and would like to know if anybody, who would think they would like these jobs and for what reasons.

hi ricky i received mine this morning as well but i wasn,t aware the registrar had resigned, I thought doreen was staying on .

but who wants to do the chairman and secretary job can they please put names forward .

:D we too received our this morning. Good idea Ricky to ask on here as nobody seems to know if anyone had put their names forward. We will hopefully keep posted through here. :D

Carole your Whippet Domain link isn't right you missed the dot between s2 and excoboard

;)

Doreen has rang us and asked to put this on K9

Doreen Hopkins has not resigned as registrar.

She has been put forward for the post of secretary(temperary) and if is voted in the post of registrar will become vacant.

All top table posts become vacant at the AGM anyway.

I understand that Bill Hopkins is prepared to take on the position as Chairman. I think he is the ideal person for that position. As regards the secretary post I too would give my vote to Doreen Hopkins and Lynne Rowley the Registrar. Good idea to gather members views prior to returning the postal vote form. ;)

Wasn't bill Hopkins on the BWRA committee last year then resigned if so then why?

Also are all members allowed to go to the BWRA AGM in December?

no one jump on me but heres a few i would put forward for bwra chairman

Steve Boyd honest straight speaking man :) Burt madgwick, Tony Taylor ,j meads.

Lynn Rowley will make a good registrar, the above would be a bonus to racing in any position ;)

:DI agree wiv u mutley but wud all these people be up for the jobs? I think we shud know who has put their names 4 ward before we can nominate. As the person u nominate mite not want to do it.

Ha Ha Ha - Thank you for your vote of confidence but 'no thanks'-Mutley the p-ss taker strikes again! ;)

Cat and kittens spring to mind.

Honoured though to be mentioned in the same breath as the other nominees you have suggested.

pmp @ tony as chairman. :D

eta.... he would'nt have the time or energy to do it. being self employed, 2 small kids and we still have a ton of stuff to short out since his mothers death the chairmans job would be impossible.

I can think of a few people who would be good at the job and good for the bwra but whether they'd want to take on a role like that remains to be seen

oh well it was worth a shot :) im sure whoever works on bwra will do a good job

I was thinking of putting myself forward for registrar but i think Lynne Rowley would do a good job. Doreen said her husnand would stand for chairman in the short term if no one else came forward. then see what happened at the AGM . Doreen will only stand down as registrar if she gets the secretary position. I only hope who ever takes over the positions will do a good honest job and give everyone a fair deal. Good luck to everyone. Woody

i understand this nomination letter has been sent out to members without first asking the two remaining committee if it should be sent, this is why bill hopkins resigned because they were not informed or give information by the rest of the committee,he told everyone that at the reps and a.g.m. meeting,

i think the three people Doreen, Bill, and Lyn will do a good fair and honest job, and thats all people want lets hope that next weekend at the reps meeting they get everyones vote :)
