Just wondered if anyone has used any of those breath freshners you get for dogs? If so which are the best. I would maybe get something from Dorwest Herbs. Megan has had a really bad breath (w00t) this last couple of days and today has been licking her lips a lot and is a bit on the warm side, maybe she is coming down with something. Has anyone any ideas if licking her lips is a sign of illness I know that sounds a bit of a weird question but a lady in the park told me today if she is swallowing and licking her lips a lot she is going to get a tummy bug. I must say if she has been sick before I have noticed she sort of licks her lips a bit before it! It can't be her teeth as she was at the vet last month for her booster and they checked her teeth and said all was good and she is only two and a half.

May i ask, am i correct in thinking Megan is an IG?

If so, i can happily give you a few tips

swallowing and lip licking is usually a sign of nausea and often followed by vomiting.

one thing worth bearing in mind is that when a dogs anal glands need expressing they can get really awful bad breath. (w00t)
