I had a lovely day but I was so teed off that the following day when stewarding the weather was good enough to start all the judging outside. It then got hotter and I was in the process of having a personal sauna with me thermal knickers and vest I'd put on, cos it was f f freezing when I left home. Anyway below is my report in its entirety cos I bet they edit the first bit. So you good folks have got it warts and all.

Typical isn’t it, that on a 2 day show, the weather is horrible and judging has to take place in the marquees, where the grass has only just been cut and white feet turned green very quickly. My thanks to the committee for the honour of judging at this prestigious show and to the exhibitors who were squashed into the marquees like sardines. We often say, that if only the conditions had been different then the placings would probably have been too, but I’m sure that could have been the case today. However, my principal winners coped best with the conditions. It was sad to see that several exhibits were lacking in underjaw emphasized by there being a slight gap between the top and bottom sets of teeth, not the correct closeness of a true scissor bite. Upper arms were short in a few exhibits and there was a case of very bulbous hindquarter muscling which took away any resemblence of elegance that the exhibit may have had.
Puppy (5,2)
1 Crawfords Barnesmore Abbracadabra with Syncopation, 11 mths brindle dog who is up to size and I hope he doesn’t grow anymore. He is rangy and coped well with the longish grass, showing good front extension and drive from the rear. Best mover in the class. BP
2 Crosse’s Jayglo Just The One
3 Jull’s Linalkin Blue Meadow
Junior (9,1)
1 Crosby’s Mulcair Makyn Me Happi – She did make me happy, a clear winner in this class. A brindle bitch who has a pleasing head and expression, good neck and equally good shoulders. Chest leveling out at the top of her elbow, exactly as the standard requires, parallel movement was strong. A really good mouth with the right amount of underjaw. She beat her class mates on her front, there were a fair few cathedral fronts and also on her dentition.
2 Crosse’s Jayglo Just A Gem
3 P & J Taylor’s Laxey Lady Isabella
4 Strunin's Hammonds Applejack Cum Boarley
5 Perkin's Silkridge Soviet Song
Post Graduate (7,2)
1 R & M Belshaw’s Permadon Sweet Sensation, a bitch who is at the smaller end of the height standard, indeed some would say that she is too small. You have to go over her to appreciate her qualities which are a good head and neck, excellent front construction making her so true coming and going, good length of loin and hindquarters, moving well all round. RBOB
2 Nickel's Phantoms Firefly in Blenheimgate
3 Mason’s Aphrael Cliodhna
4 Taylor’s, Taylors Ramsey Girl
5 Crosse's Savilepark Seastream at Jayglo
1 Newton’s Ch. Nevedith Eefa Empress –a beautiful brindle/white mature bitch who had no difficulty in coping with the conditions. Her construction is such that she is so well balanced with no exaggerations and her profile movement is a joy to watch. In the wet grass it was easy for me to see that her hind feet went in exactly the same place that her front feet had just left. It’s just a shame that there weren’t more 1st prize cards available for this class as my first 3 were all definitely worth such a place. BOB
2 Wilkinsons’ Nevedith Jayfa Judy
3 Crosbys’ Courthill Cinnamon Queen at Mulcair
4 Ormond's Elmanash Eliza at Denimonde
5 Mason's Aphrael Aoibhgreine
